News Release

Theft Investigation and Arrest

Date of News Release: 03/24/2009

(Hazard, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police Post 13 Hazard is investigation the theft of Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo's wallet from the Food City Market in Hazard, Ky. During the course of the investigation all of the contents of the wallet and a large portion of the currency were recovered. Erika M. Moran, 37 years old of Hazard, Ky an employee of Food City was arrested, charged with felony theft by unlawful taking and lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail. The investigation is continuing by Detective John Griffith of the Hazard Post.
