DUI Injury Collision on US 60

Date of News Release: 12/19/2009

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On 12-19-2009 at approximately 0100 Hours a Kentucky State Trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for suspicion of DUI on US 60 in Shelbyville. The driver, later identified as Jesus Rodriguez fled from the Trooper leading him on a 10 mile pursuit north on Lagrange Road. Mr. Rodriguez failed to navigate a curve on Lagrange road and during the subsequent collision he was ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Rodriguez was transported to U of L hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol was a factor in the collision. The collision remains under investigation and criminal charges are pending.
