Post 12 2009 Labor Day Holiday Data September 4th - 7th

(Frankfort, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort Labor Day data from the seven counties in the Post 12 area during the Labor Day Holiday 2009. * Preliminary statistics now show three fatal crashes in the Post 12 Frankfort area. A double-fatality occurred in Woodford County and a single-fatality crash occurred in Anderson County. Ten fatalities occurred during the official 2009 Labor Day Holiday Statewide.

Troopers working the Post 12 area issued a total of 531 citations, 132 citations for speeding, 57 seat belt citations and 2 child restraint citations 236 other citations. There were 13 DUI arrest and 30 motorist assists.

Kentucky State Police Post 12, provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties.

*These statistics are still preliminary as KSP waits for all local law enforcement agencies to report any fatalities that may have occurred in the Post 12 areas.
