Post Twelve 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy

(Frankfort, KY.) -- Kentucky State Police, Post 12, is now accepting applications for the 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 10-week academy is slated to begin on September 29, 2009 and conclude December 15th. Students will meet Tuesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and evidence collection. The Academy's will be held at the Kentucky State Police Professional Association located on 633 Chamberlin Avenue in Frankfort, KY. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Kentucky State Police, Post 12 at 502-227-2221.

Anyone 18 years of age living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 12 counties is welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend.
