Anderson County Overturned Tanker

Date of News Release: 07/29/2009

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On 07\28\09 at approximately 5:43 PM, a Tanker Truck collision occurred in Anderson County at the Anderson, Mercer County line on US-127. The driver of the tanker was making a right turn from Wheat School Road onto US-127. The driver (Charles E. Ballard) failed to negotiate the turn and the tanker truck overturned in a ditch line. Southbound US-127 was closed for over 6 hours. The tanker truck was hauling Petroleum Gas Liquid (Liquid Propane) no spills or injuries occurred. The collision is being investigation by Kentucky State Police. KSP was assisted by CVE, Anderson County S.O, Fire, EMS, Mercer County Fire and Rescue.
