News Release

Shooting Investigation in Laurel County

Date of News Release: 12/05/2009

(London, Ky.) -- On Friday December 04, 2009 at 6:32 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London received a report of a shooting incident at a residence on KY 3094 in Laurel County.

Upon arrival Trooper Mike King determined that J.R. Brock, 25, of East Bernstadt had discharged a firearm inside the residence. The bullet struck Aubrey Timmons, 44, of East Bernstadt before travelling through a wall striking a 14 year old juvenile. Both victims were transported to the St. Joseph - London Hospital for treatment.

Trooper King arrested Mr. Brock on an outstanding bench warrant and lodged him in the Laurel County Detention Center.Trooper King is continuing the investigation and was assisted by Trooper Jason Van Hook, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office and the Laurel County EMS.
