Home Invasion Robbery & Assault Investigation in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On Friday, October 30, 2009, at approximately 2:19 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London was notified by the Laurel County 911 Dispatch Center of a Home Invasion Robbery/Assault on Waterworks Road in Laurel, County.

Detective Mike Bowling responded to the scene and determined that a male subject had forcibly entered the residence through a window, assaulted the adult resident and stole several items from the home.

Detective Mike Bowling has arrested Tyler Gross, 22, of London and charged him with Burglary 1st degree, Rape 1st degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st degree in connection with the Home Invasion Investigation.

Mr. Gross was also charged on a bench warrant for a Probation Violation.

Detective Bowling along with members of the Laurel County Major Crimes Task Force continue the investigation.

Detective Bowling is the lead investigator into the incident and was assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police, the London City Police and the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.

Detective Bowling is continuing the investigation.
