Death Investigation in Rockcastle County
Date of News Release: 10/08/2009
(London, Ky.) -- On Thursday, October 08, 2009, at approximately 1:40 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London received a report, from the Rockcastle County 911 Center, of a person found deceased at a residence located on KY 490 3.5 miles south of Mount Vernon.
Rockcastle County 911 reported that EMS had been requested to respond to the residence and upon their arrival EMS requested law enforcement.
KSP Detective Millard Root, KSP Trooper Staci Walker and Rockcastle County Sheriff Mike Peters responded to the scene.
The victim, Robert Neal Singleton, 45, of the Livingston Community, was pronounced dead by the Rockcastle County Coroner Billy Dowell.
An investigation into the death has begun and an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
Detective Root is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Staci Walker, Sheriff Mike Peters and members from the Rockcastle County EMS.
