Marijuana Cultivation Investigation and Charges in Whitley County

(London, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, June 17, 2009, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London received information of possible Marijuana grows in Whitley County.

Two- (2) separate Marijuana grows were located.

The first was on Ancil Leach Road, which resulted in Christopher Hayes, 38, of Williamsburg being charged with Cultivating Marijuana less than five- (5) plants.

The second was on KY 1804 in the Saxton Community, which resulted in Benny Joe Leach, 67, of Williamsburg being charged with Cultivating Marijuana less than five- (5) plants.

TFC Fuson is the lead investigator into the incident and was assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police.
