Rape Investigation and Arrest in Rockcastle County

(London, Ky.) -- On Sunday, June 14, 2009, at approximately 11:14 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London was notified by the Rockcastle County 911 Center of a Rape complaint that occurred on Maple Street, in Brodhead.

Upon arrival Trooper Jason Vanhook began an investigation into the incident which resulted in the arrest of Justin R. Riddel, 27, of Brodhead on the charges of Rape 3RD Degree and violation of an EPO/DVO.

Mr. Riddel was lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center.

The identity of the juvenile victim is not being released.

Trooper Vanhook is the lead investigator into the incident and was assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police.
