Hit and Run Crash Bell County

(Calvin, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan is still actively investigating this hit and run fatal crash. The suspect vehicle is possibly a truck or SUV, blue metallic in color, with damage to the front. If anyone has information to this crash, please contact TFC Curtis Pingleton at Post 10 Harlan 606-573-3131.
UPDATE ON HIT AND RUN CRASH
On 1/15/2009, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan was notified by University of Tennessee Medical Center that the pedestrian, Wendy Warren, passed away from her injuries she sustained from the hit and run crash. The Kentucky State Police would like to ask that if anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact Post 10 Harlan at 606-573-3131. This fatal hit and run is still under investigation by TFC Curtis Pingleton Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
(Calvin, Ky.) -- On 01/13/2009 at 8:47 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call about a small child being found walking in the road on US 119 in the community of Calvin, KY. After further investigation, the child's mother, Wendy Warren age 25 of Kettle Island, KY was found near the six mile marker in the southbound ditch of US 119. Ms. Warren and her four year old child were walking south on the southbound shoulder of US 119 when they were struck by an unknown vehicle. Ms. Warren sustained serious injuries and was transported to Pineville Hospital and then flown out to University of Tennessee Medical Center. The four year child sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from the Pineville Hospital. Anyone that has any information regarding this hit and run crash or know of any vehicle that has sustained recent damage to the passenger side headlight area, please contact Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan at 606-573-3131. Assisting at the scene were troopers Jimmy Young, Ryan Sizemore and Lieutenant PJ Burnett. This injury crash is still under investigation by TFC Curtis Pingleton Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
