Fatal Collision on US 119 in Pike County

Date of News Release: 11/25/2008

(Pikeville, KY) - At approximately 1132 hours, Post 9 received a 911 call of a two vehicle collision on US 119 in the Belfry Community. A 2002 Buick Century driven by Kathleen Hensley, was attempting to make a left turn onto US 119 from the parking lot of the Dollar Store when she pulled into the oncoming path of a 2007 International Tractor Trailer driven by Keith Kitchen. Ms. Hensley was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Deputy Coroner Zeb Hampton. The Coroner declined an autopsy on the victim.
