News Release

Burglary 3rd Degree Investigation and Arrest in Virgie, KY

Date of News Release: 09/11/2008

(Pikeville, KY) - On Wednesday, September 10, 2008 Detective Kevin Newsome and Detective Gary Sykes arrested Christopher McPeek (20 yoa), Thomas Bartley (22 yoa) and Jordan Holbrook (22 yoa) all of Virgie, KY. All three subjects were charged with Burglary 3rd degree for their involvement in the September 8th burglary of the Virgie Middle School. The subjects were lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. During the investigation, Detectives recovered property that had been stolen from the Virgie Middle School. Further charges are pending in regards to additional burglaries in the Virgie community. If anyone has any information regarding these or other crimes committed in the Virgie area, please contact the Kentucky State Police at 606 433-7711. The incident remains under investigation by Detective Kevin Newsome and Detective Gary Sykes.
