Floyd County Shooting Investigation and Arrest

Date of News Release: 08/25/2008

(Pikeville, KY) - On August 24th, Post 9 received a shots fired complaint at the B & C Trailer Court off of Ky 114 outside of Prestonsburg in Floyd County.

The victim (Walter Setser) sustained several gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen and was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital were he currently remains in stable condition. The perpetrator (William T. Wolfe) fled the area before law enforcement could arrive on scene, but later turned himself in at the Floyd County Detention Center.

The case remains under investigation by Tpr. Isaac Whitaker U/344. Tpr. Whitaker was assisted on scene by Sgt. Steve Spurlock U/188, Tpr. Wes Collins U/397, Respond Ambulance Service, and multiple units from the Floyd County Sheriff's Office.
