2008 Trooper Island Raffle

(Morehead, KY) - The Kentucky State Police is raffling off a 2008 Ford Mustang to support Trooper Island summer camp for Kentucky's disadvantaged children. Tickets are $10.00 each and can be obtained at any Kentucky State Police post or by contacting Trooper R.V. Lockard, KSP Public Affairs Officer, Post 8, Morehead at (606) 784-4127.
The 2008 Mustang is a black convertible with a black interior. The vehicle is equipped with a 4.6 liter SOHC 3 valve V-8 engine that produces 300 horsepower. The vehicle has a five-speed manual transmission, with 18" chrome wheels, GT appearance package, graphite leather seats and a rear spoiler. The winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, August 24th, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. EDT at the Kentucky State Fair, Louisville, KY.
When you purchase your $10.00 Ford Mustang GT ticket, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you made a charitable contribution to Trooper Island Inc. All proceeds from the sales of these tickets will benefit Trooper Island Camp.
Trooper Island Camp was established in 1965 by the Kentucky State Police at Dale Hollow Lake near the Cumberland and Clinton County line. The free summer camp is for disadvantaged boys and girls age 10-12. Each year approximately 700 campers participate in various athletic events such as archery, canoeing and swimming. The camp includes fishing and many other camping related activities. Trooper Island Inc. is a non-profit organization that operates solely on private contributions. For more information contact:
