Promoting Gambling 1st Degree Investigation

(Richmond, KY) - Detectives of KSP Special Investigations and Post 7 Richmond have seized over forty illegal gambling machines in Winchester. A month long investigation culminated with the execution of eight search warrants at eight Winchester businesses. The owners of the businesses involved were charged with Promoting Gambling 1st, a Class D felony, and cited to appear in court. The Kentucky State Police were assisted by officers of the Winchester Police Department and deputies of the Clark County Sheriff's Department. Search warrants were served at the following Winchester businesses:

Fairview Market
Calloway Market
North Main Discount Tobacco
Tip's $1 and Up
Broadway Corner Market
Everman's Grocery
Country Boy
Discount Tobacco
