Injury Collision on KY 52 in Garrard County

Date of News Release: 09/04/2008

(Richmond, KY) - Janel Harris was traveling Eastbound on KY 52. Janel Harris attempted a left turn onto Old KY 52. Leslie Kirby was driving a Garrard County EMS ambulance on an emergency run and was also traveling Eastbound on KY 52 with its emergency equipment in operation (lights and siren). Leslie Kirby was in the process of overtaking and passing Janel Harris. Janel Harris stated that she did not see or hear the ambulance. Janel Harris was struck on the left side by Leslie Kirby. Janel Harris was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
