Fatal Collision on Hwy 52 at Trotting Ridge Road in Estill County

Date of News Release: 08/17/2008

(Richmond, KY) - At 1825 hours on 8-16-08, Kentucky State Police Post Richmond was notified of a fatal collision on KY HWY 52 and Trotting Ridge. Investigation revealed Gina Flynn was travelling south on Trotting Ridge, crossing KY HWY 52 onto Winston Road when she struck Desiree A Stevens' vehicle which was east bound on KY HWY 52. Ms. Stevens' vehicle then went into the west bound lane and struck Todd Gould's vehicle which was west bound KY HWY 52. Ms. Stevens' vehicle came to rest on the west bound shoulder of KY HWY 52. Desiree A Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS/ Assistant Coroner Jimmy Wise at 1828 hrs. Todd Gould was transported to Marcum Wallace Hospital with minor injuries and was treated and released; occupants of Gina Flynn's vehicle did not report any injury. Collision is being investigated by Tpr Donnie Foley U/400, assisted by Tpr Michael Stotts U/743.
