Third Arrest Made in Murders of Ryan Shangraw and Bo Upton

(Richmond, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond, has arrested a third suspect in connection with the February 1st, 2002 Lincoln County murders of Ryan Shangraw and Bo Upton. Deonte Lamont Simmons, age 25 of Richmond has been charged with two counts of Murder, two counts of Attempted Murder, two counts of Robbery 1st and one count of Burglary 1st. Mr. Simmons is currently incarcerated at the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex in Fredonia on unrelated charges. The arrest stems from a Lincoln County Indictment Warrant that was served upon Mr. Simmons by Detective Monte Owens. The case remains under investigation and more arrests are expected.
