Update to the Estill County Murder Investigation

Date of News Release: 01/07/2008

(Richmond, KY) - The other suspect wanted in connection with Saturday's fatal shooting in Estill County is now in custody. On 1/7/2008 at 0218 hours, Phillip Abney , age 31 of Irvine turned himself in to the Richmond Police Department. He is charged with Hindering Prosecution/Apprehension 1st Degree and was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center. The investigation by Detective Brian Reeder is ongoing.

(Richmond, KY) - One of the suspects in last night's fatal shooting has been arrested in Irvine. Suspect Bruce Hartley was spotted in the area of Broadway and taken into custody.

Date of News Release: 01/05/2008

(Richmond, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Patsy Road in Estill County. On 1/5/2008 at approximately 6:04 p.m., troopers of the Kentucky State Police Post 7 responded to a reported shooting on Patsy Road in Estill County. The victim, Angela Riddle, age 25 of Irvine, was transported to Marcum-Wallace Hospital , where she succumbed to her injuries. No motive or suspect information is being released at this time. The State Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy of the victim tomorrow morning. The investigation by Detective Brian Reeder is ongoing.
