News Release

Fatal Collision on KY 22 in Pendleton County

Date of News Release: 10/24/2008

(Dry Ridge, KY) - On Friday October 24, 2008 at approximately 1806 Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post in Dry Ridge, KY responded to a fatal accident on KY 22 approximately 2 miles east of Falmouth in Pendleton County. Lauren Shell, 17 years old of Falmouth, KY was traveling east on KY 22. Ms. Shell lost control of her vehicle, ran off the right hand side of the roadway and struck a tree. Ms. Shell was pronounced dead on the scene by Pendleton County Coroner, John Peoples. This accident remains under investigation by Trooper Doug Carter with the Kentucky State Police.

The Pendleton County Sheriffs Office, Falmouth Police Department, Falmouth Fire Department, and the Pendleton County Ambulance Service assisted Kentucky State Police on the scene.
