News Release

Airplane Collision at the Gene Snyder airport in Pendleton County

Date of News Release: 10/08/2008

(Dry Ridge, KY) - On Sunday September 28, 2008 at approximately 1319 hrs Kentucky State Police Post in Dry Ridge, KY received a call of a plane crash at the Gene Snyder airport in Pendleton County. Trooper Delzie Kelly responded to the scene and located a 1964 Cessna 150D airplane in a wooded area near the end of the runway. Mark Martin, 47yo of Burlington, KY, piloted this airplane. Mr. Martin stated that immediately after take off the engine failed resulting in this accident. Mr. Martin and his 16yo son occupied the airplane. Both occupants received minor injuries and Mr. Martin was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. FAA was notified and the crash remains under investigation.
