"Shop with a Cop" Program
Date of News Release: 10/08/2008
(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police will be participating in the "Shop with a Cop" program once again this year. The kids range between 7-11 years of age and are selected from various social service agencies along with surrounding schools within the 10 counties in the Post 6 service area. The program allows less fortunate kids to shop with a Kentucky State Trooper at the Dry Ridge Wal-mart. Last year the donations allowed for 25 kids to select up to $200.00 in assorted Christmas gifts. Our goal this year is to accommodate between 30-35 kids, depending on donations.
Donations for this program need to be received no later than November 15, 2008 and made out to: Kentucky State Police Ladies Auxiliary, Attn: Rhonda Rich. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as it goes directly to making kids in our area have a more fulfilling Christmas.
