Fatal Collision on I-65 in Simpson County

Date of News Release: 12/21/2008

(Bowling Green, Ky.) - Raveen Reddy was traveling southbound on interstate 65 at the 13 mm when he fell asleep and the vehicle veered off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Reddy overcorrected causing the vehicle to run off the roadway overturning several times. The vehicle came to final rest on its top off the right shoulder of the roadway facing west. Raveen Reddy and one passenger (William Dempsey) refused treatment at scene. The other passenger (Richard Meredith) was pronounced dead at the scene by Simpson County Coroner Gary Crafton. Alcohol involvement is suspected. Investigation continues.
