Injury Collision on KY 820 in Barren County

Date of News Release: 09/30/2008

(Bowling Green, KY) - Richard Bradley was traveling eastbound on KY 820 when Mr. Bradley reached into his pocket to remove a cell phone. As Mr. Bradley was reaching into his pocket, Mr. Bradley's vehicle began to drift toward the eastbound shoulder. Mr. Bradley's vehicle began to exit the roadway off the eastbound shoulder when the passenger (Nina Bradley) reached over and attempted to steer Mr. Bradley's vehicle back onto the roadway. Mr. Bradley's vehicle then exited the roadway off the eastbound shoulder and traveled down a small embankment. Mr. Bradley's vehicle then struck a utility pole, causing Mr. Bradley's vehicle to overturn. Mr. Bradley's vehicle came to final rest on its driver's side partially in the roadway. Nina Bradley was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital where she was admitted. Mr. Bradley was not injured.
