Double Fatality on US 31W in Hart County

Date of News Release: 08/12/2008

(Bowling Green) - David Shipp was traveling north on US 31W. Robert Wilson was traveling south on US 31W. According to an eyewitness, Mr. Shipp's vehicle crossed the centerline into to the Mr. Wilson's vehicle. Mr. Wilson made an attempt to avoid contact with Mr. Shipp. Mr. Shipp's vehicle struck Mr. Wilson's vehicle in the center of the roadway. David Shipp and his passenger (Paul Wilson) were pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Raymond "Bucky" Day. Robert Wilson was taken by Hart County EMS to T. J. Samson.
