Homicide Investigation in Cub Run, KY

Date of News Release: 01/22/2008

(Cub Run, KY) --On 01-21-2008 a local Hart County resident notified the Kentucky State Police advising that he had found what he believed to be human remains.

The Kentucky State Police responded to the scene and a Homicide investigation was initiated. The unidentified white female victim was found in the Priceville community in a remote location.

Hart County Coroner Jeff Roten has transported the victim to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners office in Louisville for an autopsy.

The Kentucky State Police are currently reviewing all missing persons cases in the area in an attempt to identify the victim.

The investigation continues. The Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Hart County Sheriff's Department, the Hart County Rescue Squad, and the Hart County Coroner's Office.
