DUI Injury Collision on Radio Road in Calloway County

Date of News Release: 10/25/2008

(Mayfield, KY) - David Todd was operating his 1992 Oldsmobile northbound on Radio Road. He dropped off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. He got back on the road and dropped off the right side again striking an embankment. The vehicle then went airborne and overturned. The vehicle came to final rest on it's top off the right side of the road in front of Hudson's Body Shop. Mr. Todd was then pulled from the vehicle by two witnesses before the vehicle caught on fire Mr. Todd fled the scene prior to units arrival. He was later located behind Hudson's Body Shop. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries. Mr. Todd was taken into custody and charged with DUI 1st and also Leaving the scene of an Accident. He was lodged in the Calloway County jail. Trooper Duvall was assisted at the scene by the Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Calloway County fire and rescue, and Murray-Calloway County EMS. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Brian Duvall.
