Fatal Collision on US 68 in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 10/14/2008

(Mayfield, KY) - Madison Kruger was eastbound on US 68 Bypass in Cadiz, made a left turn in an attempt to turn onto Lakota Drive and pulled into the path of Willard Gilstrap. Mr. Gilstrap was unable to avoid the collision. The front of Mr. Gilstrap's vehicle struck Mr. Kruger's vehicle in the passenger side . Both occupants of Mr. Kruger's vehicle were extricated by Trigg County Rescue Squad. Mr. Kruger was airlifted by Air Evac to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Kruger was taken by Trigg County EMS to the Trigg County Hospital where she was pronounced deceased shortly after her arrival. Mr. Gilstrap was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Trooper Billy Over was assisted at the scene by KSP Accident Reconstructionist TFC Chris Anderson, Trigg County Sheriffs Department, Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Rescue Squad, Cadiz Fire Department and Air Evac. The investigation continues by Trooper Billy Over.
