Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree Arrest in Murray, KY

An image of Kenneth Holt, click here to enlarge in a new window (Murray, KY) - On October 1st at approximately 12 p.m, the Kentucky State Police responded to a complaint of a verbal dispute between husband and wife in Calloway County. Troopers and deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff's Office responded to the area on Countryside Drive and met with the female caller who had left the residence. After speaking with the female it was learned that Kenneth Holt, 55 years of age, had threatened her life during the dispute. She also stated there were numerous weapons inside the residence. At that time officers attempted to contact Mr. Holt at his residence, but were unable to initiate verbal contact. State Police made several attempts to initiate contact with Mr. Holt by calling inside the residence and by public address but were unsuccessful. The Paducah Police Explosive Ordinance Unit was requested for the use of their robotic unit in order to make remote contact with the residence. Also the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team responded for support.
At approximately 10: 30 p.m., an arrest warrant for Mr. Holt and a search warrant for the residence were secured. After numerous demands were made to exit the home, Mr. Holt voluntarily exited and was subsequently placed under arrest without further incident. Mr. Holt was charged with Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police. The State Police were assisted at the scene by the Paducah Police Explosive Ordinance Unit, Murray Police Department, Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Calloway County Fire and Rescue and Calloway County EMS.
