Double Fatal Collision on KY 164 in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 09/24/2008

(Mayfield, KY) - Mr. Douglas A. Nailor was westbound on Roaring Springs Road (KY 164) when he failed to negotiate a curve, and lost control of his vehicle. Mr. Nailor's vehicle left the roadway when he overcorrected and struck a tree. After striking the tree, the vehicle became airborne and impacted with a second tree. All three occupants were entrapped and required extrication by the Trigg County Rescue Squad. Mr. Timothy A. Kenner, the rear seat passenger, was partially ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Kenner was transported to Jenny Stewart Hospital where he was later transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mr. Nailor and Timothy C. Adkins were pronounced dead on the scene by the Trigg County Coroner's Office. Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Ambulance Service, Coroner's Office and Rescue Squad assisted Kentucky State Police at the scene. The investigation is continuing with Tpr. Jon Pagan.
