Injury Collision on KY 139 in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 09/24/2008

(Mayfield, KY) - Mr. Zachary Lunte was southbound on KY 139 as he approached a horse and buggy also traveling southbound. Due to an oncoming vehicle and the fact that the amish buggy had no slow moving vehicle emblem displayed, Mr. Lunte was unable to avoid the collision with the horse and buggy. Mr. Lunte and his passenger were treated and transported to Trigg County Hospital by the Trigg County Ambulance Service. Mr. John Stoltzfus and his passengers (Lavina Stoltzfus & David Stoltzfus) all refused medical treatment on scene. Mr. Stoltzfus was issued a citation for slow moving vehicle emblem required. Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Ambulance Service and Rescue assisted Tpr. Paull at the scene.
