Injury Collision on Linton Road in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 06/10/2008

(Hickory, KY) - Kentucky State Police were notified of a two vehicle injury collision on Linton Road one mile south of Canton in Trigg County. Preliminary investigation at the scene indicated that Shirly Ezell dropped off of the right shoulder of the highway and over corrected to the left into the path of Amber Perry's vehicle which was traveling southbound. Ezell's vehicle struck Perry's vehicle head on bringing both vehicles to final rest blocking the roadway. Both drivers were extracted by mechanical means by the Trigg County Rescue Squad. Ezell was transported by ambulance to the Murray Calloway County Hospital while Perry was air lifted to Vanderbilt University Hospital for multiple injures. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Trigg County Sheriff's Office, Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County EMS/Rescue, and Air Evac. The investigation continues by TFC. C.G. Anderson.
