Injury Vehicle Collision on KY 339 in Graves County
Date of News Release: 05/22/2008
(Hickory, KY) - Officer James Mills Jr., a Kentucky State Park Ranger, was travelling Westbound on KY 339 East when 3 deer ran out into the travel portion of the roadway. After striking one of the deer, the rear passenger side wheel left the roadway causing the vehicle to run off into a ditch. The vehicle then hit an unknown object, causing it to overturn into a yard. Officer Mills was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center were he was treated and released for minor injuries. Trooper Byron White was assisted on the scene by Graves County Deputy Mike Riley, and Mayfield-Graves County EMS. The investigation is continuing by Trooper White.
