Three Injured in a Two Car Collision on US 62
Date of News Release: 04/25/2008
(Hickory, KY) - A vehicle operated by Christopher Glandt was northbound on KY 295 approaching US Highway 62 near Kuttawa. Mr. Glandt's vehicle travelled into the intersection at US 62 failing to stop at the stop sign. A vehicle operated by Jerry Jackson was westbound on US 62 approaching the intersection of KY 295. As a result of Mr. Glandt's vehicle disregarding the stop sign, Mr. Jackson's vehicle collided with the passenger side of Mr. Glandt's vehicle on US 62. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway. As a result, Mr. Jackson's vehicle overturned. Lisa Barbee, a passenger in Mr. Glandt's vehicle, was trapped and had to be extracted by rescue and fire personnel. Ms. Barbee was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for possible chest injuries. Christopher Glandt and Lilan Glandt were transported by ambulance to Caldwell County Hospital for minor injuries. Both occupants of Mr. Jackson's vehicle were uninjured. It was discovered that Christopher Glandt was operating his vehicle on a suspended driver's license. Mr. Glandt was cited into court for that charge. The investigation into the collision is continuing by TFC Christopher Anderson with the Kentucky State Police.
