Post 16's Nominee for Trooper of the Year for 2007

(Henderson, KY) - Trooper Mitch Hampton is Post 16's nominee for Trooper of the Year for 2007. Trooper Hampton has served the citizens of Kentucky for nearly four years. He has distinguished himself in both traffic and criminal enforcement. He had 110 D.U.I arrest and 85 criminal arrests between January 01, 2007 and December 31, 2007. During the same period Trooper Hampton issued 1,156 citations which included 457 for speeding and 124 for seat belt violations.

Trooper Hampton's dedication to service is second to none. His proactive enforcement activity is a model for other troopers to follow. For every impaired driver he arrested there was potentially at least one life saved. Trooper Hampton possess all the positive characteristics that exemplifies a Kentucky State Trooper.
