Injury Collision on County House Road in Monroe County

Date of News Release: 11/21/2008

(Columbia, KY) - A Blue 1992 GMC 4D being operated by Charles Carter, age 87, of Tompkinsville, was traveling Eastbound on County House Road and dropped off the right side of the roadway leaving the travel portion of the roadway, over corrected came back on to the roadway. Mr. Carter lost control of his vehicle in result Mr. Carter's vehicle went in to a skid for approximately 220 feet then dropped off the left side of the roadway where the passenger side of the vehicle struck a telephone pole. Mr. Carter was belted at the time of the collision.
