Post 12 Friday Night Blue Lights

Date of News Release: 09/25/2008

(Frankfort, Ky) - WHAT: Friday Night Blue Lights Event
WHEN: Friday, September 26, 2008, 7:15 PM
WHERE: Scott County vs. Shelby County Football Game @ Toyota Stadium, Georgetown, KY.
WHO: Kentucky State Police Post 12, Kentucky State Police Highway Safety, assisted by Scott County High School and SCAD (Scott County Against Drugs).
WHY: To reduce traffic fatalities across the state by enforcing safe driving and seat belt use. This campaign will also target underage drinking which is often associated with highschool football post-game activities.
FACTS: Last year in Kentucky, the highest percentage of collisions for the months of September and August occurred on Fridays - specifically, in the evening hours.
