New Commander at KSP Post 7

(RICHMOND, KY) - Captain Jeff Mayberry has been appointed commander of the Kentucky State Police Post at Richmond, Kentucky. Mayberry is a Twenty-one year veteran, having joined the Kentucky State Police in September 1986.
His first assignment was as a Trooper at Post 7, Richmond. Subsequent assignments include, Detective in the DrugEnforcement/Special Investigations Branch. Squad Sergeant at Post 1 Mayfield. Detective Sergeant and Investigative Lieutenant/ Assistant Post Commander at Post 6, Dry Ridge. Assistant Commander, Internal Affairs. Commander, Special Investigations. Commander Vehicle Investigations.
Following a promotion to Captain in September 2004, Mayberry was assigned as the Commander of Post#3, Bowling Green where he remained for one year. Prior to his assignment as Richmond Post Commander, Captain Mayberry was assigned as Commander of the Special Operations Branch in Lexington, Kentucky for two years. This branch was comprised of the Special Response Team, the KSP Canine Section and the Hazardous Devices Section.
Captain Mayberry is a 1981 Graduate of George Rogers Clark High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. Mayberry is a native and current resident of Winchester, Kentucky.
