Injury Crash on US 127 in Lincoln County
Date of News Release: 05/07/2007
(RICHMOND, KY) - Matthew Burns was southbound on US 127. Matthew Burns stated that he fell asleep and crossed into the northbound lane of travel. Matthew Burns' vehicle collided with Jana Maple' vehicles. Jana Maple had steered onto the northbound shoulder in an effort to avoid a collision. Jana Maple was extricated from her vehicle by West Lincoln EMS and fire units, and flown to the UK Medical Center along with her son, who was also injured in the collision. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Michael Ashley.
