Escapee from Campbell County Detention Center

(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge are investigating an escape from the Campbell County Detention Center. Daniel Steven Jahnke, 23, of Newport, escaped from the facility at 10:43 p.m. on Friday night after kicking open a gate in the kitchen area and then fleeing. His probable destination is unknown.

Mr. Jahnke is a white male, approximately 6'1" in height, 180 lbs with short black hair and fair skin. He has brown eyes. He also has a large cross tattoo on his upper right arm. Mr. Jahnke was serving a sentence for receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument and Violation of Parole.

Any persons with knowledge of Jahnke's location are asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at (800) 222-5555 or their nearest law enforcement agency.
