Fatal Crash on US 62 in Harrison County
Date of News Release: 03/29/2007
(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 6 is investigating a fatal collision that occurred at approximately 1115 AM on US 62 in Harrison County. Chateka McIntosh (28) of Cynthiana was westbound on US 62 near Switzer Pike when she crossed the centerline striking James Lee Burke (42) of Monterey, KY. McIntosh was pronounced dead at the scene by the Coroner. An infant passenger in the vehicle with McIntosh was transported to the Harrison Memorial Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. James Burke was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital for leg injuries. Both operators were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. The infant passenger was restrained in a child safety seat.
The collision remains under investigation by KSP Detective Clint Graves.
