A Cynthiana Man Arrested In Eary Morning Shooting

(Cynthiana, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 6 have arrested Carl Cummins (58) of Cynthiana in connection with the early morning shooting of Amy Taylor (29), also of Cynthiana. Taylor was shot once in the abdomen by Cummins during an early morning dispute at Carl Cummins residence. Amy Taylor was airlifted from Harrison Memorial Hospital to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment. At the time of this release Taylor was listed in stable condition. Taylor and Cummins have a child in common but were not living together at the time of the shooting. The shooting remains under investigation by Tpr. Nathan Moore and Detective Clint Graves.

Carl Cummins was charged with Assault 1st (Domestic Violence) and lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.
