Trimble County Man Arrested on Several Sex Charges

(Campbellsburg, KY)- A Bedford, Kentucky man has been arrested on numerous sex charges, involving young females. Terry Wayne Helm, also known as "E-Z-L", white male, age 23, from the 100 block of Main Street, in the city limits of Bedford, was arrested at his residence, on May 8th, 2007. KSP Detective Kevin Johnson, after an extensive investigation, initially charged Helm with Sexual Abuse in the 1st degree, which is a class "C" felony. Det. Johnson served the warrant on Helms that was signed by Judge Diana Wheeler. She set Helms bond as $300,000/cash. As part of his bond conditions, he's not to be around any children. Helms was lodged at the Carroll County Regional Detention Center, (CCRDC).

On May 9th, 2007, Det. Johnson served Helms with 6 more warrants, at CCRDC, and charged him with the following;

• 2 counts of Rape 3rd degree-Class "D" felonies
• 2 counts of Sodomy 3rd degree-Class "D" felonies
• 1 count of Sexual Abuse 1st degree-Class "D" felony
• 1 count of Sexual Abuse 2nd degree-Class "A" misdemeanor

The bonds for the above charges have an additional $175,000/cash attached to it. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected. If anyone has information regarding these cases, please contact Det. Johnson, at KSP Post-5, Campbellsburg. The phone number is: (502) 532-6363.
