August 2007 Activity Report

(Bowling Green) - The Post Commander, Captain Bill Payton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of August 2007.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,466 citations of which 565 were for speeding and 10 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 149 citations for no seatbelts. Twenty-two people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 451 courtesy notices investigated 103 accidents, of which 3 were fatals, and assisted 255 motorist, while inspecting 2,271 vehicles.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,438 complaints, and opened 94 criminal cases, and made 214 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 1,088 special details and programs for August.
