Drug Investigation and Arrest in Cerulean, KY

(Cerulean, KY.) On September 24, 2007 Kentucky State Police Troopers arrested a Trigg County man on various drug charges. Michael Brashears, 60 of Cerulean, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Firearm Enhanced, Cultivation of Marijuana-Firearm Enhanced, Possession of Marijuana-Firearm Enhanced and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
On September 12, 2007 troopers from Post One, Post Two, the Christian County Sheriff's Department and the Trigg County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant on Brashears Cerulean home in reference to the Barbara Laster missing person's investigation. Laster has not been seen since December 8, 2002. Nothing was found at the residence relating to the Laster investigation. However, investigators did located 16 marijuana plants, processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and 5 weapons.
Brashers fled the scene on September 12th and had not been seen since. Last night, he made arrangement to turn himself in to Trigg County Deputy Kenneth Butts. He was arrested by Trooper Richard Wright and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
