Injury Collision on US 45 in Hickman County

Date of News Release: 09/25/2007

(Hickman County) - Christopher. D. Courtney was traveling South on U.S. 45 at a high rate of speed. He was attempting to pass two vehicles when he lost control of his car. The vehicle rotated counter clockwise and traveled off the East side of the roadway causing the vehicle overturned several times. Mr. Courtney, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported by Air Evac to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. where he was treated for his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, David Cobb, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Tri City EMS, Fulton City Fire Department, Water Valley Fire Department and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife assisted state police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Joe Gregory.
