Fatal Crash on KY 121 in Ballard County

Date of News Release: 09/20/2007

(Mayfield, KY) - Mack A. Owens was traveling South on KY. 121 when he suddenly left the West side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole after traveling approximately 150 feet along an embankment. Mr. Owens, who was wearing his seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Ballard County Coroner Bob Morrow. The Ballard County Sheriff's Department, EMS, Rescue Squad and Coroner's Office assisted state police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Clifton.
