Injury Crash on US 68 in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 08/06/2007

(Trigg County) - Stanley W. Cooper Jr. of Hopkinsville was traveling Westbound on US 68 in Fenton when he suffered a seizure. Mr. Cooper ran off the right shoulder of the roadway, then travel across to the left side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the roadway approximately fifty to sixty feet when it came to a final rest in a heavily wooded area. Air Evac transported Mr. Cooper to Vanderbilt Hospital, and his 2 passengers were transported by Trigg County Ambulance Service to Murray Calloway County Hospital. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Trigg County EMS, US Forestry Service, Trigg County Rescue, and East Golden Pond Fire Department. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Richard Wright.
