Illegal Sale of Alcohol In Dry Territory Investigation

(Trigg County) - Kentucky State Police conducted a 3-week investigation in the Cadiz area due to the illegal sale of alcohol in a dry territory. On August 4, 2007 an undercover Kentucky State Police Detective made a purchase of 2 gallons of homemade wine from 1427 Goose Hollow Road in Cadiz. Once the transaction was made, Trooper Richard Wright was given consent to search the property. As a result of the search, 250 gallons of homemade wine along with other items were seized from the residence. Trooper Wright cited Jerry Small with Illegal Sale of Alcohol in a Dry Territory 1st. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the Trigg County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Richard Wright.
